There is a website on the net, called CafePress. They allow you to sign up, upload images, and sell T-Shirts with the image(s), sweatshirts, coffee mugs, and mousepads. Not only can wearing a T-Shirt for your production company or film while shooting or promoting it give it an added hint of professionalism, but on any promotional materials or at in-person showing you can mention that people can buy official merchandice for the film online at your CafePress site.

The coolest thing is you don't pay CafePress nothing. They make money, I guess, due to set prices. You can then raise the price, say, four dollars so that on every T-shirt that is sold you make a four dollar profit. This can help to pay back loans or to start raising money for your next project.

Also, when you buy merchandice, you just pay the base price, not the marked-up price - if you payed the marked-up price then you would just get the money back in check form, anyway.
